1. BEST OF SHOW GLASS ART AWARD

Sponsor: Festival of Glass
This Award is for a piece of glass art made mainly or entirely of glass. It must be your own original design, not using a kit, pattern or design from someone else, and must be your own creation. It will be judged using the following criteria: aesthetic appeal (beauty, artistry, balance/design/proportion), craftsmanship, creativity. The criteria are weighted slightly in favour of aesthetic appeal. All entries will be considered for this Award

The winning entry will be awarded $1000

2. ENCOURAGEMENT GLASS ART AWARD

Sponsor: Decal Specialists
This Award is for the runner up to the Best of Show Glass Art Award
The winning entry will be awarded $500

3. BELLAWEIN GLASS ART AWARD

Sponsors:
First Prize: Clifton Springs and Curlewis Lions Club.
Highly Commended: The Rotary Club of Drysdale

This Award is for the best piece of glass art that expresses the unique identity of the Bellarine Peninsula. The title of the award, “Bellawein”, is the name given to the area by the Wathaurong people, its original inhabitants.
The winning entry will be awarded $500 and an award plaque. Highly Commended - $125 cash

4. FUNCTIONAL GLASS ART AWARD

Sponsors:
First Prize: Glass Fusing Pty Ltd
Highly Commended: The Rotary Club of Drysdale

This Award is for best piece of functional glass art judged against the criteria of originality, sophistication, use of colour, technical execution, attention to scale, Artist's Statement and display of the exhibit.
The winning entry will be awarded $500, Highly Commended - $125 cash

5. SCULPTURAL GLASS ART AWARD

Sponsors:
First Prize: Stockdale & Leggo
Highly Commended: The Rotary Club of Drysdale

This Award is for best piece of sculptural glass art judged against the criteria of originality, sophistication, use of colour, technical execution, attention to scale, Artist's Statement and display of the exhibit.
The winning entry will be awarded $500,  Highly Commended - $125 cash

. WEARABLE GLASS ART AWARD

First Prize: The Beaders Guild of Geelong & the Festival of Glass
Highly Commended: The Rotary Club of Drysdale

This Award is for best piece of wearable glass art judged against the criteria of originality, sophistication, use of colour, technical execution, wearablity, Artist's Statement and display of the exhibit.
The winning entry will be awarded $500, Highly Commended - $125 cash

. SILVAN ACQUISITIVE GLASS ART AWARD

Sponsor: Silvan Family in memory of their loved one, Antonio Silvan

This Award is awarded to the creator of the piece of glass art that the Silvan Family judges to be original in its design, skillfully made and eye catching. As an Acquisitive Award, the sponsor acquires the winning entry, in effect purchasing it with the prize. Hence entries not for sale are exempt from this Award.
The winning entry will be awarded $250
Should the sale price of the winning entry be greater than $250 the Silvan Family will discuss the difference with the entrant prior to final judging.



 
All winning entries will be presented with a Certificate.
